About Midwest Wheat Consultants (MWC)

Phil Brown, founder and owner of MWC, grew up on a farm in Northern Indiana, near the small town of Pierceton. The youngest of six children, his dad drove truck all night, while with the help of his family, operated a 1,500 acre farm during the day. 1/3 of the farm crop was wheat, and in the late 1980’s, they began to interplant beans.

After earning his degree from Purdue University, Phil had an opportunity to join Ciba-Geigy where he serviced five counties in Northern Indiana. When the opportunity came to join Wheat Tech, it allowed him the chance to do full-time what he’d always enjoyed, which is to help farmers do a better job. Seven years later, Phil went out on his own to start Midwest Wheat Consultants.

At Midwest Wheat Consultants, we count it a privilege to be a partner on your farm and to make the most of the acres for which we are responsible. We make the production decisions easy (through experience and practice of close to 500,000 acres since 2003), and we make the best recommendation for that field on the day we scout it.
